Lancaster Outreach Center is hiring a full-time bilingual administrative assistant. This person will assist the executive director in directing long-term tornado recovery and various fundraising efforts including a capital campaign. The applicant will assist in preparing promotional materials, donor database management, processing requests for information and coordinating reports and communications with various agencies. This person will also assist staff in bilingual casework. Applicant must be able to work as a member of a small team, possess good verbal and writing skills, and must be proficient in Word, Excel, Quickbooks and able to learn other programs. Applicant must possess a professional and friendly attitude and possess the ability to multi-task and work well both cooperatively and independently. This position is grant funded and only guaranteed for one year. Employment may be extended if additional funding is acquired. UNFI Positions

Lift Operator  

This position is responsible for moving product.  A forklift operator a United Natural Food is required to have a strong understanding of his lift, the loads he/she is carrying, productivity measures and safety procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

-Reports to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet and replenishment discrepancies sheet.

-Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.

-Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet

-Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, uses the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.

-Performs knockdowns for selector when needed.

-Maintains correct counts and logs any discrepancies in inventory

-Verifies that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.

-Cuts and removes shrink wrap from all knockdowns.

-Removes all empty pallets from pick location and aisles. Separates the good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stages in pallet staging area.

-Keeps area clean and debris out of work area.

-Operates the lift in a safe and efficient manner.

-Parks and recharges lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.

-Immediately informs a lead, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety violations or violation of company policy.

 

Minimum Requirements

·        High School Diploma/GED

·        Has experience is Forklift Reach Lift (stand up)

·        Understanding of Safety guidelines

·        Have a understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global  understanding of all processes.

 

 

 

Order Selector

This position is responsible for having a strong understanding of the equipment he/she uses, pick locations, pallet building, productivity measures and safety procedures.     

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

-Inspects assigned jack for safety issues.

-Enters the proper information into the productivity measure.

-Identifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the order

-Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC's or item descriptions.

-Places pick labels on the side of the cases.

-Correctly identifies Master Case locations

-Identifies and immediately reports  miss-located products.

-Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.

-Stages pallets in appropriate bay.

-Listens for first and last call and obtains all out of stocks in a timely manner.

-Keeps area clean and debris out of work area.

-Immediately informs a foreman, supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats.

-Obtains aisle-cleaning assignment.

-Operates pallet jack/push cart in a safe and efficient manner.

-Reports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policy.

-Builds a stable and well cubed pallet.

-Parks and recharges pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of your shift.

-Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements

·        High School Diploma/GED  

·        Understanding of Safety guidelines

·        Have a understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global  understanding of all processes.

·        Ability to select at established minimum rate for department

·        Understand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezer

 

 

 

Class A CDL Delivery Drivers

This position is responsible for delivering products to customers and establishing and/or maintaining effective relationships. Loads and unloads the truck in a safe and timely manner according to UNFI procedures.  Minimizes delays and reports problems accordingly.  Picks up supplies and back-hauls from vendors as necessary. 

 

Minimum Requirements

·        Current Class A CDL

·        Clean Driving Record

·        1 year driving experience

·        Tractor Trailer experience

 

 

SQF Practitioner

This position is responsible for:

Supporting implementation and sustainability in Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Stand Operating Procedures (SOP's), good hygiene and housekeeping practices 

Supporting Operations in developing and implementing programs that drive product and process consistency and standardization

Provide necessary training to drive compliance to quality programs with Operations

Collaborating with other functions to develop preventative food safety programs

Ensure implementation and compliance with, specifications and labeling requirements

Ensure compliance with government regulatory requirements

Supporting Operations in coordinating systemic corrective and preventative actions regarding internal self-audits, third party and customer inquiries

Supporting Operations to maintain sustainability of SQF Certification supporting in process redesigns with thorough documentation 

Collaborate with Operation and Sales to analyze and resolve customer complaints and perform root cause remediation

Communicate to Operations Manager any potential food safety issues, GMP activities and other issue that might be required
